Footage edited by North Korean state television on Friday showed streets and stands filled with tens of thousands of mobilized spectators, who showed approval as waves of speeding soldiers, tanks and huge intercontinental ballistic missiles, transported in trucks launchers, filled the main road.
According to the state press, people from all over the country came to the capital, Pyongyang, to contemplate the event.
The parade kicked off with warm-up events that included ceremonial flights of newly developed surveillance and strike drones, which were first revealed by state media this week when they reported on a weapons exhibition attended by Kim and Shoigu.
