Washington: Hackers from North Korea have stolen $ 100 million worth of cryptocurrency from a U.S. institution. On June 23, the money was stolen from a company called Horizon Bridge. They use a blockchain called Harmony. Accordingly, cryptocurrency can be transferred from one blockchain to another.

Experts had earlier raised suspicions that hackers were aiding the government’s nuclear activities by hijacking cryptocurrencies through cyber attacks. This was followed by another North Korean hacker scam.

Former FBI analyst Nick Carlson says a preliminary investigation has found that North Korean hackers were behind the scam. He also said he suspects North Korea’s Lazarus group of involvement in the scam. It is believed to be the eighth cryptocurrency fraud perpetrated by North Korean hackers.
