Arar, Northern Borders – In a bid to enhance emergency medical services and save more lives, Burj Al Shamal Medical Hospital in Arar, affiliated to the Northern Borders Health Department, has launched a fast track for injuries. This initiative aims to expedite the provision of emergency services, enhance emergency medical care, and increase the chances of saving lives.

The inauguration of the fast track included a visual presentation. The simulation depicted a scenario of multiple injuries in the head and chest, resulting in loss of consciousness. The presentation highlighted the path and mechanism for activating the injury code, which helps medical professionals quickly respond to the situation.

The Multiple Injury Center, the first of its kind in the region, not only offers emergency services but also provides extensive training programs for medical staff. These training programs play a crucial role in the success of the center, ensuring that medical professionals are well-prepared to handle complex emergency cases.

During the first half of the current year, the North Medical Tower in Arar has already catered to the medical needs of over 350,000 beneficiaries. This includes ambulance and emergency services for 56,021 individuals. The clinics’ departments served an additional 41,128 beneficiaries, while the hospital successfully conducted 257,831 laboratory tests and 1,167 surgeries.

The introduction of the fast track for injuries will further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency medical services provided by the North Medical Tower. This initiative is expected to improve response times, ensuring that individuals in critical conditions receive immediate medical attention.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Khalid, the Director of Burj Al Shamal Medical Hospital, expressed his delight with the launch of the fast track for injuries. He emphasized the hospital’s commitment to providing top-notch medical care and ensuring the highest possible standards in emergency services.
