Governor of the Northern Province Jeevan Thiagarajah has taken steps to promote multi-purpose co-operative societies in the island areas.
Steps have been taken to sell building materials to multi-purpose co-operative societies made on the island.
Velanai Kayts Karainagar Pungudu Island Multipurpose Co-operative Societies
Velanai Karainagar on the 5th and Kayts on the 6th followed by Punguduthivu Nainathivu.
He also said that he will continue to take steps for development through the co-operative sector.
