Railway Security Force police have arrested a man from the northern state who was involved in the theft of passengers by mixing narcotics in soft drinks on a running train.

Nitish Kumar Yogi and his brother Lokesh Kumar Yogi from Rajasthan were traveling on an express train from Chennai Central to Delhi two days ago.

Another passenger in the same train has been talking to them. When the train passed near Nellore, the person offered the two to drink soft drinks. The two who drank the soft drink suddenly fainted for a while.

Later, the two fainted near Nagpur and were shocked to find that their money and mobile phones had been stolen. They lodged a complaint with the Nagpur Railway Police. Nagpur Railway Police immediately informed the Central Railway Police. Railway Security Force police led by Central Railway Security Force Inspector Rohit Kumar searched for the man at the railway station with CCTV footage recorded.

In this case, the person involved in the robbery was caught and arrested by the railway police while boarding the train to travel back on the train from Central to Delhi. He was also identified as Abdul Raguman from Uttarakhand.

The Railway Police investigation has revealed that he was involved in the theft by pretending to talk to the passengers while traveling on the train and giving them anesthesia. 7 cellphones, 250 anesthetic pills and Rs. 4000 were confiscated. Railway police have advised the public not to buy food or soft drinks given by such previously unfamiliar persons on trains and at railway stations.
