Chennai:

More than 1000 Northerners packed the reserved coaches and boarded the Guwahati-bound Bengaluru Express train without taking tickets. When they got inside, they sat tight without giving space to the people who had booked.

The affected students of Tamil Nadu filed a complaint with the railway police. The train was then stopped at Thiruvottiyur. Immediately, they inspected all the reservation boxes and expelled about 1000 people from the North who had not taken tickets.

In this crowd, many women were shocked to see that they were traveling on a single ticket without taking a ticket.

All the alighted passengers gathered in a crowd at Thiruvottiyur railway station, creating a commotion there.
