On behalf of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, the Ministry of Transport, together with the Ministry of Transport and Rostransnadzor, organized the transfer of the service for issuing a license for the carriage of passengers by water transport into electronic form.
Transferring the service to an electronic format will save time and costs for obtaining a license.
“The new service for issuing a license through state services will also be of great importance for the field of tourist transportation. Currently, both large and small companies that provide travel services are licensed, from cruise ships to small passenger boats, ”noted Dmitry Chernyshenko.
According to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, over the past three years, 1,330 licenses were issued and reissued to carry out such activities. More than 500 applicants apply for the service every year.
