Not being whitewashed by Australia against India is an achievement – Glenn McGrath

Australia, who toured India, are participating in the 4-Test Border Gavaskar Trophy series. India won the first Test by an innings and 132 runs.

Subsequently, India won the 2nd Test match by 6 wickets. With this, India has taken a 2-0 lead in the 4-Test series. The 3rd Test match between the two teams will be played at the Indore stadium tomorrow. Steve Smith has been appointed as the captain for the 3rd Test.

Former player Glenn McGrath commented on Australia’s performance in this situation.

He has said about this:-

Everyone in the batting order has to score runs. Australia will only rely on Steve Smith and Marnus Labusche. I think they are not sure how to deal with spin in India.

I think they are not sure of the game plan of how to play spin in India. I think the Australian players will have learned a lesson from the first 2 test matches which they have already lost.

India should try to score more runs. The absence of Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green from the squad for the first 2 Tests took a toll. Indian players know very well how to play in Indian stadiums. I think it would be a record for Australia to go 4-0 unbeaten in this series.
