On the eve of June 24, the unofficial telegram channel of Alexander Lukashenko’s press service “Pul Pervogo” wrote that he had persuaded the founder of the “Wagner” PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin to stop the armed advance towards Moscow. Prigozhin later confirmed this information. Later, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov declared that the criminal case against Prigozhin on charges of attempted sedition would be terminated, and he himself would “go to Belarus”. Piaskov added that he did not know what Prigozhin would do after that. However, the official Minsk has not yet announced Prigozhin’s arrival in Belarus.
