The second game in the playoff semifinal series in the National League was played tonight (Monday) when Hevel Modiin met Zissman and defeated Ramat Gan 78:79 thanks to a great evening by Jimmy Hall who stood out with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Following the victory, Hevel Modiin balanced the series to 1: 1, with the series returning to Shoham for a fascinating third game.
The visitors started the game great and went up to a quick 6: 0 advantage, but Ben Altit and Abdulia Goya made the result and the first quarter ended at 20:23 for the home team. Shoham Gat joined the celebration and a three-pointer and with points in Jonathan Moore’s burst the board showed 64:51. The final quarter opened well for Jehu Orland’s team, but the locals came back with a 0-10 run and the gap dropped to 67:65.
Maccabi Urban Ramat Gan scored 6 points and gained a 75:76 advantage. Amit Alon buried a three from the corner, but Muriel Lotati equalized a minute before the end. Eyal Shulman and Jimmy Hall scored one shot from the line from four attempts. With 4 seconds left Guy Farber missed a hard shot and the game was decided. At the end of the 40 minutes in Zisman the scoreboard showed a dramatic 78:79 to Modiin.
