by time news

Osem has decided to cut commissions for more than 100 sales agents who sell for NIS 4 billion a year, in parallel with the rise in the prices of its products. Chairman of the Trade Division Workers’ Committee: “Management wants to change the calculation and hurt our salaries”

Osem, which announced its intention to raise prices by up to 7%, continues to operate more profitably for itself, and intends to lower salaries for salespeople. This was reported this morning (Thursday) in ‘Vint’.

According to the report, Osem intends to reduce the salaries of the salesmen’s division, which has more than 100 employees and is responsible for sales in the amount of NIS 4 billion.

In response to the cuts, the brigade’s employees decided yesterday to strike a warning strike with the approval of the Histadrut and did not go to work in the field. The chairman of the Trade Division’s workers’ committee, Shlomi Aviv, explained that “the company wants to cut our sales component by 20%, so we stopped the work.”

“For years we have hired including a component whereby the more salespeople sell the more they earn. Now the management wants to change the calculation and hurt our salary. From my knowledge from the system I can say that we as a barn sell a lot, and the company is profitable. There is no reason to make changes.”

Eliezer Blue, chairman of the Histadrut’s Food and Pharmaceutical Workers’ Union, was in talks with the Osem management yesterday, which in the face of the threat of a strike agreed to freeze the cuts plans for a month and enter into negotiations with the committees and the Histadrut.

“Osem wants to make an organizational change that will harm the job security and earning capacity of the division’s employees. We do not agree with that. These are workers in a collective agreement who work according to basic wages and incentives and meeting goals, so we will not agree to that,” he said.

Osem responded: “Nestle Barn has an excellent relationship with all employee representatives. This is a discussion about a spot organizational change among private market workers and in no way deals with cutting wages. The company discussed with workers’ representatives and both parties reached an understanding and agreement that they will continue to discuss In the work routine. “
