Not surrendering to BDS: The metal legend “Disturbed” is on his way to Israel with a fascinating Zionist connection

by time news

The metal legend returns to Israel: One of the huge metal bands of our time “DISTURBED” is coming to Israel for only one show in Israel as part of a European tour, and this time for a particularly intimate show in one pavilion (Expo TLV) Tel Aviv on June 28, 2023, for only 5,500 fans. Ticket sales will begin today at 2:00 p.m.

“Disturbed” began its activities in the early 90’s in Chicago, and since then pushed itself with the cunning, infectious and inimitable sound, to the front of the global rock scene. The long career has accumulated billions of followers and listens, nominations for Grammy Awards (including for “Best Rock Show”), and a host of awards.

This will be the second time the band performs in Israel, after an unforgettable and sold-out performance at Live Park in 2019. The singer and leader of the Jewish band David Dreyman spoke throughout his career and in particular during his visit here, about his great love for Israel and his devoted audience here. David spoke at length about his great pride in his Israeli heritage, including his grandfather’s service in the “Haganah” and his grandmother’s appearance on the cover of “Laishah” magazine in an IDF uniform.

About his close connection to the place he said: “I probably got my voice from my great-grandfather (who was a cantor in Jerusalem) and in any case I believe that I have over 3,000 relatives in Israel and my connection to your country is very strong.”

Here is a taste of the previous visit to Israel, with a moving performance of the song “Never Again”:
