The Chilean plant-based food company, NotCoin collaboration with the American magnate Jeff Bezospresented this Wednesday a documentary titled “NotTurtle”where he narrated the process to recreate, with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI)the controversy Turtle souppreparation found banned in some countries since it is an endangered species.

The production was premiered on YouTube, where the Chilean firm explores the possibility of using AI to develop preparations that preserve culinary traditions and, at the same time, protect species at risk of extinctionas collected T13.

To recreate turtle soup, the company recruited the Peruvian chef Diego Oka and used his artificial intelligence program called “Giuseppe”software that was responsible for analyze the ingredients of the popular preparation in countries like Mexico and Peru.

Through his LinkedIn account, the CEO and founder of NotCo, Matías Muchnick, noted: “They say AI is a dangerous game, that it will end up taking our jobs, violating our privacy, taking away our rights, all very valid fears, but what about all the unimaginably good things that AI can help us do?”.

According to the aforementioned media, green turtles are included in the list of endangered species prepared by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN)where its number of specimens has been affected due to factors such as extreme climate phenomena, illegal fishing and the effects of pollution.
