The head of the Attorney General’s Office of Justice of MorelosUriel Carmona Gándara, returned to his work as a prosecutor, after spending several days imprisoned in the Altiplano prison in Almoloya de Juárez in the State of Mexico for the femicide case of Ariadna Fernanda.
It was on Tuesday, September 26, when the institution confirmed the incorporation of its activities, after a court ordered its release last Thursday and that it left the facilities on Friday morning.

“Uriel Carmona Gándara called for the unity and commitment of all staff and for full compliance with the function that has been constitutionally conferred on the organization,” can be read in the statement from the Morelos authorities.
It should be noted that he met with regional, specialized prosecutors and coordinators to instruct them in actions to provide timely and quality care to the citizens of Morelos; During the meeting the prosecutor asked that efforts be increased with the aim of consolidating the institution.

A day before, Carmona Gándara indicated that he was at a crossroads regarding his resignation as prosecutor of Morelos.
“Of course, it is an issue that has been in the balance. However, remaining in office also means preserving the protection of constitutional jurisdiction. Sometimes we find ourselves at a crossroads […] But what we are going to do right now is the priority, which is to comply with the legal responsibilities that we have before the judges,” he mentioned to the media.
