Nothing threatens the crew of a dry cargo ship from the Russian Federation detained in Poland

by time news

Apparently, nothing threatens the lives of Russians on board the Ruslana dry cargo ship, which was detained in Poland the day before. This was told to the TASS agency in the Russian trade union of seafarers, where the crew has not yet turned for help.

Earlier, the Polish “Sea Portal” reported that the republic’s border guards had detained in the Gdansk Bay of the Baltic Sea the Ruslana dry-cargo ship belonging to a St. Petersburg transport company. According to media reports, the ship “was sailing at a speed of 11 knots straight in the direction of the beach on Sobieshevsky Island outside the designated waterway.” Allegedly, the crew did not answer calls from the border services. In order not to run aground, the dry cargo ship, one kilometer from the coastline, turned 180 degrees.

“Nobody has applied to the trade union yet. This is a Russian ship, Russian sailors, probably some of them are a member of the trade union. But they haven’t contacted us yet. There is nothing threatening the life and health of the crew,” the agency noted.

The representative of the trade union also expressed the hope that the Russian Foreign Ministry will join the situation.
