The head of the Atomic Energy Commission (AEA) spoke at the IAEA General Conference.
The 66th Annual General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) convenes in Vienna from September 26-30, 2022.
The Israeli delegation to the conference is headed by the head of the Atomic Energy Commission (AEA) Moshe Edri. A short time ago the head of the AEA finished his speech on behalf of Israel at the conference plenary.
In his speech, the head of the IAEA referred first and foremost to the Iranian nuclear issue, Iran’s non-compliance with its obligations and the lack of continued cooperation with the IAEA on the issue of the open files. Referring to the MAZAT, the head of the Palestinian Authority referred to Syria, which has built a secret nuclear reactor and is in disobedience, and condemned the threats of terrorist organizations and their agents to attack Israel’s nuclear research centers.
In addition, the head of the IAEA insisted on Israel’s good cooperation with the IAEA in aspects of safety, security and nuclear applications and called on the IAEA countries, and in particular the “Abraham Accords” countries, to tighten cooperation in the face of safety and security challenges in the nuclear world.
