Notice to IAS officer who commented against ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie

The state government has sent a notice to Niaskan, an IAS officer who commented on The Kashmir Files movie.

The Hindi movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ was released on March 11. The film, which focuses on the expulsion of Kashmir Hindus during the 1990 insurgency in Kashmir, has been declared tax-exempt in BJP-ruled states.

Written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi. The film has received rave reviews and support.

In this context, Madhya Pradesh IAS officer Niaz Khan wrote in his commentary on the film, “The Kashmir Files film shows the pain of the Brahmins. They should be allowed to live safely in Kashmir with all due respect.
