Notification issued for imposition of fixed charges in bills of electricity consumers

(Witness supra) The federal government has imposed fixed charges in the bills of electricity consumers, the notification of which has been issued.

According to the notification, monthly fixed charges ranging from 200 to 1000 rupees have been imposed for electricity consumers.

From July 1, domestic consumers will pay a fixed charge of Rs 200 for consumption from 301 to 400 units, 401 to 500 units will have to pay Rs 400, similarly 501 to 600 units will pay Rs 600, 601 to 700 units. Household users using 800 and more than 700 units will have to pay fixed charges of Rs 1,000 per month.

Domestic consumers using time-of-use meters will also pay fixed charges of Rs 1,000 per month, commercial consumers with a load of less than 5 KW will have to pay Rs 1,000 per month, commercial electricity consumers with a load of 5 KW or more will pay Rs 2,000. Will pay Rs.

Under TOU metering, industrial consumers consuming up to 25 KW will pay Rs 1000, B2 category consumers up to 500 KW will pay Rs 2000, B3 category industrial consumers consuming 5000 KW will pay Rs. 2000 will pay fixed charges, B4 category users will also pay fixed charges of Rs.2000 per month.
