Notre Dame and Ohio State announced multiyear jersey patch sponsorship deals worth roughly $30 million combined, capitalizing on the new revenue-sharing era. The $30 Million Wave Hits College Football Uniforms

College football jerseys are officially transforming into billboards as programs search for ways to cash in on the revenue-sharing era. Following a sprawling $2.8 billion antitrust settlement approved by a federal judge that cleared the way for schools to directly pay players through licensing deals, athletic departments are moving fast to unlock new revenue streams.

The push reached a milestone when two powerhouse programs announced massive corporate partnerships on the same day. The agreements highlight how aggressively top-tier athletic departments are monetizing their brands to stay competitive under new financial models.

The partnership makes SoFi the official financial services partner of Notre Dame Athletics and the first non-apparel brand to appear as a patch on Fighting Irish uniforms across every varsity sport. Beyond the uniform space, SoFi will establish an annual $1.4 million fund to support the university’s “4 for Forever” campaign. That funding directly supports scholarships in 26 sports, financial education, career development, and a new scholarship program for walk-on student-athletes.

“Our ‘4 for Forever’ promise at Notre Dame is paramount to providing the best student-athlete experience in the country. SoFi shares in this commitment to developing strong, ambitious leaders who are set up for success at Notre Dame and beyond. Together, our relationship will create lasting value for our student-athletes and their families for generations to come.”
