He lost 6-2 6-3 to the Chilean left-hander Alejandro Tabilo after only 1h08′ of play. Unable to obtain the slightest break point, Novak Djokovic was far from evolving into the register of world No. 1 that it is. Like Nadal against Hubert Hurkacz, he stayed very far from the mark to concede a clear defeat against a player who is going through the best period of his career at 26 years old.
Like Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic has two weeks ahead of him to gain momentum before the big event at Roland-Garros where he is the defending champion.
