Novak Djokovic is now on Bulgarian soil. The holder of 24 Grand Slam trophies and reigning Olympic champion arrived for the long-awaited charity match against Grigor Dimitrov in Sofia.
“I am very excited. I have always wanted to do something like this! We will play a match with Novak Djokovic in Arena Sofia. We are all in feverish preparation. It is important to share that my foundation is the main organizer. Each of us is euphoric. I hope everything goes as it should and see you in Bulgaria”, Grigor commented to bTV.
“We have agreed that I will play with him in Bulgaria when we have that opportunity and it is convenient for both of us. Now is the time. I am looking forward to this match as I have never played in Bulgaria. As cultures we are quite similar as well as people,” added the Serbian.
Tonight, Djokovic was welcomed by Grisho and they both posed for a photo together with the president of the home snooker federation – Oleg Velinov.
Finally dream came through! Novak Djokovic is in Sofia 🙂
