Novgorod police caught a young counterfeiter who deceived gullible passers-by

The eighteen-year-old counterfeiter operating in Veliky Novgorod was caught by the police, the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

According to the police, the young man bought counterfeit five-thousandth bills in St. Petersburg.

The Novgorodian sold one of the forgeries by deceiving gullible passers-by: he asked them to change a large banknote.

However, in general, the fraudster preferred to sell the bills with someone else’s hands. While in the company, he “substituted” his acquaintances, offering them fakes to pay for alcohol and fruit.

As “MK in Veliky Novgorod” told, on the eve of the regional center they arrested telephone swindlers who “heated” old women for 2.5 million rubles.
