After the report of Justice Hema Committee, the Malayalam film industry is being surrounded by allegations from both sides. Sensational allegations of sexual harassment, molestation and casting couch have robbed Mollywood of its sleep. On one hand, Kerala Police has filed an FIR against filmmaker Ranjit on charges of sexual harassment, while on the other hand, two actresses have made sensational allegations against veteran filmmaker Tulsidas. The first actress to accuse senior filmmaker Tulsidas is Sridevika. She claimed that Tulsidas harassed her while working on his film ‘Avan Chandiyude Makan’ (2007). Prithviraj Sukumaran was with her in this film. The actress claims that this incident is from 2006, when the shooting of the film was going on.
Sridevika said- he used to knock on the hotel room at night
Sridevika said, ‘During the shooting of Avan Chandiyude Makan, Tulsidas used to knock on my hotel room door late at night for several days continuously. I even asked the hotel reception, who confirmed that it was Tulsidas.’
He used to misbehave on the set and even reduced his scenes
The actress says that she told one of her co-stars about this. Later, Tulsidas sent her and her mother to a separate room. Sridevika also told that after this incident, Tulsidas’s behavior became even worse on the set. He used to misbehave on the set in anger and even his shots and dialogues were reduced in the film.

Sridevika claims- I complained to AMMA, nothing happened
Sreedevika has also targeted the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). She said that despite giving a formal complaint to AMMA in this regard, no action was taken against Tulsidas. Frustrated by the lack of response from the association, she made her story public on Facebook in 2018.
Geeta Vijayan said- he used to come at night and ring the bell
On the other hand, actress Geeta Vijayan has also shared her painful experience with Tulsidas. She said that she also faced similar harassment and when she raised her voice against it, she was thrown out of many films. Geeta alleged that Tulsidas harassed her continuously during the shooting of the 1991 film ‘Chanchhattam’. He rang the bell in her hotel room late at night for several days. The actress claims that when she talked to the director about this, she was also treated like Sridevika. After this, the scenes were not even explained to her on the set.
Geeta Vijayan said- we have to show courage to protest
“All those who commit violence against women have developed a fear. This fear is their punishment. This fear should always remain. I hope such bad incidents will not happen again. Even if it happens, everyone should show courage to oppose it,” Geeta was quoted as saying by ‘Matrubhoomi’.

Tulsidas denied the allegations
However, Thulasidas has denied these allegations. He claimed that he never went to the door of Geetha or any actress during the shooting of ‘Chanchhattam’. The director also said that actor Siddique, who is facing rape charges, often used to ‘discuss the script’ in his room late at night.
The director said- she wants to take revenge on me
Tulsidas has also rejected Sridevika’s allegations. The filmmaker said that Sridevika might be trying to take revenge on him because he had once scolded the actress on the set. Tulsidas told ‘Reporter Live’, ‘One day I scolded her on the set for taking an hour to change her clothes. Maybe she had some grudge about this.’
