Now… the moon is paired with Jupiter, the giant of the solar system – Sada El-Bald – Sada El Balad

by time news

The sky of Egypt is now witnessing the conjunction of the moon with Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system (the giant of the solar system), in a scene that all amateur astronomers and those interested in this field of observation and photography await, if the opportunity allows them, and the National Institute for Astronomical Research has revealed this phenomenon.

Dr. Ashraf Tadros, professor of astronomy at the National Institute for Astronomical Research and former head of the Astronomy Department, said that amateurs and lovers of astronomy are on a date today with the conjunction of the moon with Jupiter, in an impressive scene for lovers of observing stars around the world in a phenomenon seen with the naked eye in the sky.

Tadros explained that we see the conjunction of the moon with Jupiter (the giant of the solar system) now, as we see them next to each other in the sky on Friday, November 4, until sunset at 2:45 in the morning of the next day.

The professor of astronomy pointed out that in order to be able to observe any astronomical phenomenon, such as the conjunctions of the moon with the stars and planets or the birth of the crescents of the Arab months, it requires a clear atmosphere and the sky is free of clouds, dust and water vapor.

He noted that astronomical phenomena do not have any damage to human health or daily activities on Earth.

Jupiter

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the solar system from the sun; The average distance between it and the Sun is 5.2 astronomical units, which is equivalent to 778,340,821 km, and this distance is five times the distance between the Sun and the Earth. thousand kilometers, and it should be noted that Jupiter revolves around the sun in a very large period of time; One revolution of Jupiter around the sun takes 12 Earth years to complete.

Jupiter is one of the brightest celestial bodies in space, preceded by the Earth’s moon, Venus, and sometimes Mars, and some consider it the second brightest planet after Venus. Eighty times the current one, it would have been considered a star, not a planet.
