The social network for sharing videos TikTok, has launched a new option that allows its users to make text posts of a thousand characters, as announced by the Chinese company.
Along with the new tool, users of this platform will also be able to add sound and location tags to their text updates, and will also have the option to comment and share these posts just like they would photos or videos.
This new TikTok option was announced less than a month after Meta introduced its new social network Threads, developed to compete with Twitter. Launched in more than 100 countries on July 5, this platform quickly passed the 100 million registered user threshold, however, in mid-July, it lost half of its daily active users in a week.
