This is a testimony to the long standing friendship between India and Russia. Similarly, India’s primary enemy, China, has been lurking on the border from time to time. In this situation, the National Security Advisers Conference of Russia, China and India took place in Russia today.
India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Russian President Vladimir Putin held wide-ranging discussions in Moscow today. They agreed to continue working on the implementation of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Indian embassy in Moscow said it was focused on bilateral and regional issues, but did not elaborate on the issues. “National Security Adviser Ajit Doval met President Putin. Wide-ranging discussion on bilateral and regional issues was held. Agreed to continue working on implementation of India-Russia Strategic Partnership,” Indian Embassy in Russia tweeted.
Doval began his two-day visit to Russia on Wednesday. Last Monday, Russian Ambassador to New Delhi Denis Alibov said Russia wants to further diversify its ties with India. It is noteworthy that India’s National Security Advisor traveled to Russia three months after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited the country. Both sides promised to expand their economic engagement during the talks.
