Erode SKM Poorna has introduced 3 new oil types.
Introductory ceremony of 3 new types of oils including Rebind Coconut Oil, Mustard Oil and Lamp Oil was held at Erode SKM Poorna Company.
In the event, SKM Animal Feed Company Managing Director Chandrasekhar, Director Shyamala Sharmili and Managing Director Pradeep Krishna introduced 3 new types of oil to the market.
Following this, they further told the press: SKM Animal Feeds and Foods (India) Pvt. Ltd., headquartered in Erotin, has been manufacturing and selling animal and poultry feeds for the last 41 years and has set a unique mark in feed sales.
Since 2006, it has been engaged in cooking oil under the name Poorna, and was the first to launch a heart-friendly, healthy rice brand of rice bran oil in the market.
After that we have introduced sunflower oil, olive oil, coconut oil, groundnut oil and sandalwood scented Pancha Deepa lamp oil, selling in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra states and exporting to foreign countries.
Currently, SKM Poorna cooking oil range has introduced new types of refined coconut oil, mustard oil, lamp oil.
Refined coconut oil is available in the market in packets priced at Rs 10 and Rs 100, in 2 and 5 liter cans, and in 15 kg and 15 liter tins. Mustard oil is available in 200 ml, 500 ml and 1 liter sizes and kerosene is available in 200 ml sizes.
Due to the Ukraine-Russia war, there was a problem with the import of sunflower oil. Due to this there was a shortage of this oil and the price doubled. We have produced and marketed refined coconut oil with the aim of producing an alternative edible oil instead of relying solely on sunflower oil.
This oil production can reduce the import of oil from abroad. They also said that coconut farmers in our country will benefit from the increase in demand for coconuts.The event was coordinated by SKM Purna Oil Company’s Uthama Raman.
