A “training incident”. This is how Wolverhampton communicated last week to explain the temporary exclusion from the group of Jonny, the left defender of the Premier League club.

According to the American media, the 29-year-old Spaniard had an altercation with a young striker from the Tawanda Chirewa club, to whom he elbowed hard at the very beginning of the month. Six months before the end of his contract
A former indisputable starter for Wolves under Nuno Espirito Santo, Jonny has lost his luster for several years, and has only participated in one match in the Premier League this season. “I spoke with him, he apologized and we considered what to do next. We have agreed that at least until the end of January, he will not be part of the first team,” said his sporting director before specifying that the player would train with the youth team for “maintain your level of play”. His future in England remains more than uncertain, six months before the end of his contract at Wolverhampton.
