The Vellore police are investigating four people, including a bride who has been married six times and is ready for her seventh marriage in Paramathi Vellore.
Dhanapal (35) hails from Venkarai Kallipalayam next to Paramathivelur in Namakkal district. He and Sandhya (26) from Madurai got married on the 7th at the Puduvenkarai Amman Temple near Kolkata. On behalf of the woman’s family, only the woman’s sister, uncle, and Balamurugan (45), a female broker from Madurai, were present in this marriage.
In this case, after completing the marriage, the female broker Balamurugan bought one lakh and 50 thousand as marriage commission. New groom Dhanapal woke up on the morning of the 9th and found his wife missing. Searched in various places but couldn’t find it. When contacted on the phone, the phone was switched off.
Following this, the cell phones of the broker Balamurugan and his relatives were also switched off. After this, when the bureau was opened, the wedding silk saree and all the clothes that had been brought were missing. When a shocked Dhanapal came to know that he had been duped, Paramathi lodged a complaint at the Vellore police station. In this case, they are looking for a bride to marry a person from the same area.
Then Sandhya’s photo came through another broker. The groom’s family spoke to Tanalakshmi (45), a female broker from Madurai, about this. At that time, they decided to talk on the phone that the bride has caught the groom.
Sandhya and Thanalakshmi’s cousin Ayyappan came in a car on Thursday morning after deciding to get married in Tiruchengode. Then Dhanapal and relatives were waiting there. The bride Sandhya and the female broker who came there caught the trio as relatives and handed them over to the Paramathi Vellore police station.
In the investigation conducted by the police, it was revealed that these people from Madurai had married Sandhya six times and got caught when they tried to marry her for the seventh time. During the investigation conducted with them, it was found that during every marriage, they take lakhs of money and get close to the groom for two days and then take the belongings and disappear while the husband is sleeping soundly.
Following this, the Vellore police are interrogating four people namely Sandhya from Madurai, female broker Balamurugan, Thanalakshmi and Thanalakshmi’s cousin Ayyappan.
