Tamil Nadu Nutrition Workers Union staged a mass appeal demonstration. The First Minister must implement what he announced in the election manifesto that he would provide the long-demanded periodic pay of the nutrition staff.
Rs 9,000 should be provided as a pension with family security. The government should provide gas cylinders as required. Demonstrations took place in the tank demanding the fulfillment of various demands, including that all cooking assistants be offered promotions.
The demonstration was led by Union President Shanthi. District executive committee member Saroja and union executives Jaya, Muthukkannu, Deivanai, Thanalakshmi and Sumathi were in the forefront. Union Vice President Tamilselvi welcomed all.
Union Secretary Jayakody addressed the gathering to explain the demand. Former Nutrition Employees Union executives Thangaraj and Sellamuthu greeted the gathering. Union Treasurer Sarathampal thanked the nutrition workers union executives in large numbers.
