Another essential component for a long and healthy life is protein. Proteins are vital building blocks for cells, tissues, and hormones. Dr. Adler suggests consuming 20 to 30 percent protein per meal to ensure our bodies have the necessary resources to function optimally.

An additional anti-aging weapon that Dr. Adler recommends is spermidine, which acts as a “garbage truck” for eliminating cellular debris in the body. Spermidine is primarily found in mature cheese, wheat germ, and mushrooms.

Furthermore, incorporating tomatoes into our diet provides a significant dose of lycopene, which is known for its anti-cancer properties. Dr. Adler advises consuming 1 tablespoon of tomato paste daily, preferably combined with some fat, such as in soups or on bread.

While obtaining these nutrients through a well-balanced diet is ideal, Dr. Adler acknowledges that dietary supplements can also be a good alternative.
