Oasis Reunites: Liam and Noel Gallagher End Feud for World Tour in 2025

by time news

With the announcement on Tuesday of a worldwide tour by the legendary Britpop band in 2025, the rival English rock brothers, Liam and Noel Gallagher, are ending fifteen years of feuding to reform Oasis.

Fans had almost lost hope after years of rumors and media spats. But the return of the band that defined the 1990s was made official with a social media video titled: “It’s happening!”

Confirmed British tour dates

The tour will kick off on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales, and will include four dates in their hometown of Manchester and as many at Wembley Stadium in London.

After the UK, Oasis will perform in Dublin, Ireland, and “preparations are underway to take ‘Oasis Live ’25’ to other continents later next year,” states the band’s official website.

Tickets for the confirmed dates will go on sale on August 31 at 09:00 local time (08:00 GMT) in the UK and 08:00 (07:00 GMT) in Ireland.

Thirty years after the album “Definitely Maybe”

The announcement of the tour comes thirty years after the album “Definitely Maybe” (released on August 29, 1994) that launched Oasis.

After years of bickering, yet another altercation on August 28, 2009, between Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel, guitarist and songwriter of Oasis, at the Paris festival Rock en Seine, led to the breakup of the band formed in 1991 in Manchester.

Since then, the rival brothers have long exchanged jabs via social media or the press, before a relative calm in recent times, giving fans hope for reconciliation. In an interview last week, Noel complimented Liam, praising “the tone of his voice and his attitude.”

After the meteoric success of “Definitely Maybe,” Oasis reached the peak of their popularity with “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?” released in 1995, which includes hits like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”
