OASTH went on a 24-hour “surprise” strike, and Thessaloniki ran out of buses on Wednesday, July 10.
In its statement, the Workers’ Union claims that “for the umpteenth time, OASTH workers are the audience of the same project. Collective Labor Agreement signed between OASTH Management and employeesapproved by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, which was verbally agreed with the Ministry of Finance, that he has been roaming from office to office for a month, always finding baseless pretexts and meaningless justifications for its final approval».

The OASTH administration was notified of the strike
In a statement, the management of the OASTH indicates that they went on a “surprise” strike which was “decided a few hours before the opening of the OASTH Electric Bus Charging Station, a great and important project for the Organization and Thessaloniki as a whole”.
“The reason for the strike announcement by the Union is that the Ministry of Finance has apparently not accepted 100% of their requests to sign a Labor Agreement at the OASTH. It should be noted that the requests of the employees are very much met, because it is planned to increase the benefits by 50% compared to the previous Cooperative Agreement!”, reads the announcement.
