Okaïdi, the brand for children from 0 to 14 years old, belonging to the IdKids group, focuses on the social commitment of the little ones. Specifically, the OBAÏBI collection, which dresses children from birth to 3 years, offers 100% of the organic cotton birth basketlike bodysuits, t-shirts and pajamas, are distinguished by their label EKO.

One of the main objectives of the brand is to design garments with the less polluting alternatives possible, like the organic cotton, recycled cotton or recycled polyester. In 2022, 52.5% of the Okaïdi brand products were made with one of these materials. In addition, 100% of the padding in the coats is made from recycled polyester and 80% of the Okaïdi T-shirts have at least 30% recycled cotton.

Despite repeated crises and the inflationary context, Okaïdi pursues its first EKO commitment to generalize the use of recycled materials in all its collections and in ever greater proportions. In addition, they are in the process of developing more responsible finishing techniques that consume less energy.

At Okaïdi we have always wanted to dress children thinking about tomorrow. At a time when the transformation of the textile industry has become urgent, at the brand we redouble our efforts to create more sustainable products and promote sensible fashion with future generations in mind.”, reveals Sergi Brunet, General Director of Okaïdi by IdKids for Spain and Portugal.

Okaïdi and his collaboration to improve the stay of families in the Hospital.

With 50 stores in Spain and Portugal, the brand collaborates with the “Friendly Hospital” program from Vall d’Hebron. From January 31 to February 26, the donation with round-up at checkout was active in all Okaïdi stores. The amount collected has as its main objective the application of humanization projects that have a direct impact on the emotional well-being of patients and their families.

Okaïdi has been committed to future generations since 1996, when it started with 30 stores and 100 employees. Currently headquartered in Roubaix (France), the brand employs 3,000 people and is present in 51 countries with 890 stores. The positive growth trend does not stop Okaïdi Spain, which in 2022 increased by 13% compared to 2021, and expects to improve the results of 2019. “2022 has been a year of growth and consolidation”, reveals Sergi Brunet, General Director of Okaïdi by IdKids for Spain and Portugal. In addition, ÏD Kids plans to open five stores in Spain and two in Portugal in 2023.

Obaïbi accompanies families so that babies grow with confidence.

In moments of parenting, it is necessary to feel supported by other people who understand you, who do not judge you, who tell you that it has also happened to them. An environment where you can relax, loosen up, disassemble and feel supported”, explains Laia Capdevila, prenatal and postpartum yoga expert and instructor at the Okaïdi yoga event on January 31, where she accompanied the families and performed exercises with the babies.
