Observatory: An air strike targeted a truck loaded with weapons after it entered Syria from Iraqi territory

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights⁢ reported, on ⁤Sunday, that two⁤ people were injured as a ‍result of‍ an air⁣ strike that targeted a‍ truck ⁤loaded with weapons after ⁣it entered Syria from Iraqi territory.

The Observatory said in a statement received by Agency, “Two people ⁤from the militias affiliated with​ Iran, of non-Syrian nationality, were ⁢seriously injured ⁤in the ⁣targeting ⁣of⁢ a drone ⁤likely belonging ‍to the American forces. It targeted at ⁢least one (refrigerator) truck belonging ‍to the militias loaded with weapons and ammunition.”

The ⁢Observatory explained that “the targeting occurred on the road to the⁣ town of Al-Ghubrah⁤ – Al-Hamdan​ Airport in the Al-Bukamal countryside, east of Deir ez-Zor, after ​the truck crossed Iraqi territory towards the Syrian interior,” stressing that “the‌ injured⁤ people​ were transferred to⁤ the hospital to receive treatment, amid intense ‌security alert ‍by the militias.”
