jpnn.comJAKARTA – Candidate for Governor of Lampung Arinal Djunaidi stated that Lampung Province is ready to collaborate with the central government to support national food security and sovereignty policies.
This concrete support step was taken by Arinal with the intention of making East Lampung Regency a center for livestock and agriculture.
This will provide a contribution from the Lampung Provincial government in making national food sovereignty a success.
Arinal’s move received a good response from various parties, including University of Lampung (Unila) Public Policy Analyst Eko Budi Sulistio.
Eko considers this vision to be a good and visionary ideal.
“I think that is a good and visionary goal. “Lampung can become a national livestock barn if there is a strong desire from the regional government and stakeholders,” said Eko Budi, Tuesday (01/10/2024).
According to him, Lampung has great potential in the agricultural and livestock sectors so this is in line with the central government regarding food sovereignty and is very relevant to conditions in this province.
Eko added that the food problem is currently a crucial issue for Indonesia, especially with the large amount of food land being diverted to non-food commodities.
