Vienna (OTS) – The Austrian Federal Association for Psychotherapy regrets the resignation of Health Minister Dr. Wolfgang Mückstein and thanks him for his commitment and his will to further develop and improve something in the field of mental health for everyone in Austria.
His clear commitment to the need for nationwide psychotherapeutic care is more important than ever in times like these.
The project “Healthy from the Crisis”, a low-threshold and targeted care program to support children and young people in coping with psychosocial problems as a result of the pandemic, with the conception of which Dr. Wolfgang Mückstein entrusted us together with our colleagues from the BÖP is certainly a milestone in the psychosocial care landscape in Austria. On behalf of all psychotherapists, we would like to thank him for the trust he has placed in us.
We now see the focus on safety and health for oneself and one’s family as a major step that also sets an example.
We hope that the new Minister of Health will continue to work together for the mental health of people in Austria. Especially after the burden of the pandemic and now the war in Ukraine, this is of particular importance and topicality.
