This weekend, September 30th to October 1st, millions of individuals around the world will gather to watch the October 2023 general conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As the Church’s 193rd Semiannual General Conference, this event will feature messages and teachings from the First Presidency, Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other Church leaders. All individuals, families, and friends are invited to attend the five general sessions that will take place.

During the conference, attendees can expect to hear inspiring talks, participate in uplifting sessions, and gain knowledge and guidance from Church leaders. The schedule for the conference includes three sessions on Saturday, September 30th, and two sessions on Sunday, October 1st. The sessions are scheduled to last around two hours each and will be held at various times throughout the day to accommodate different time zones.

In preparation for the conference, the Church has made several announcements and releases. President Russell M. Nelson, the leader of the Church, will not be attending the conference in person due to his recovery from a recent fall. He will be participating remotely, along with Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who is also recovering from health challenges. Additionally, two Area Seventies were released and two new ones were called during leadership meetings held on September 28th. The October 2023 edition of the World Report was released a day earlier on September 27th.

For those unable to attend the conference in person or watch it at a local meetinghouse, there are various ways to watch it live. The conference will be broadcasted worldwide in multiple languages on ChurchofJesusChrist.org/broadcasts, the General Conference YouTube channel, Gospel Stream, and the Gospel Library app. English-speaking viewers can also watch it on KSL-TV and BYUtv.
