“Under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco has taken important steps in building the social state, notably through the implementation of the royal project of the generalization of social protection, the deployment of aid direct to households and the housing assistance programs”, noted Ms. Fettah during a session on the occasion of the Meeting of the Council at the level of Ministers (RCM) of the OECD, whose work opened more early in the day.
During this session, held under the theme “Building a sustainable and inclusive economy and society – public action based on factual data to address common challenges”, the minister recalled the major advances made by Morocco in promising sectors. such as green energy, automobiles and aeronautics and the integration of the Kingdom into international value chains.
At the same time, Ms. Fettah drew attention to the importance of implementing adapted and targeted public policies with a view to a more inclusive economy, while emphasizing the dimension of regional integration, particularly African.
The RCM is, of all OECD events, the one which takes place at the highest level, bringing together ministers of Finance, Economy, Foreign Affairs, Trade and other ministries of Member and Partner countries. the OECD, and representatives of international organizations.
On the sidelines of this two-day event, Ms. Fettah held bilateral meetings with several ministers and representatives of international and regional organizations.
This year, the RCM is being held under the theme “creating the momentum for change together: leading global debates by adopting objective and reliable approaches in support of sustainable and inclusive growth”.
The 2024 MCM, chaired by Japan and vice-chaired by Mexico and the Netherlands, provides Members and non-Members with the opportunity to engage in high-level discussions on the issues decisive challenges facing the international community today.
