Open to the public in the Diversity Room of the Civil Society of Heritage, Community and Environment (SCPCMA), Old Havana, is the exhibition “Susceptible Paradise, Cuba” by the photographer Adrián Juan Espinosa, an invitation to reconsider today under the care of the nature and nature. the fragility of our environment.

The exhibition consists of seven large format color photographs and five high resolution screens projecting another 75 subdivided into landscapes, birds, flora, fauna and butterflies. According to Espinosa himself, it is part of a larger nature photography project whose objective is to raise awareness and educate about the fragility of Cuba’s ecosystems and the importance of their preservation and protection.

Likewise, it is intended to reveal the importance of nature photography in vulnerable areas with heritage values, which tend to disappear or be affected by the direct or indirect consequences of climate change, while at the same time, artistic appreciation and use of photography. visual language as another way to establish a discourse towards the protection of Cuba’s natural heritage.

One of the attractions of the exhibition is an online map of the Island which allows the public, by scanning a QR code, to interact with more than 150 images located in the exact location where the professor-photographer M. Aimed at specialists and with limited spaces, in the context of the exhibition the Master class “The photographer in nature” is conceived, led by Espinosa himself, whose subject deals with the ethics of the nature photographer; landscape photography; Flora and fauna; close-up photography and digital photo registration.

“Susceptible Paradise, Cuba” is part of the lines of work of the SCPCMA, a civil organization that brings together natural and legal persons, national and foreign, interested in conservation, rehabilitation, revitalization, management, development and promotion the historical, architectural and cultural heritage of the city of Havana, as well as community and environmental issues.
