Ofer Karp was appointed Vice President of the Supply Chain Division

The Israel Post Board of Directors approved the appointment of Ofer Karp to the position of Vice President of the Supply Chain Division. As part of the role, Karp will manage the online trade center and the Israel Post’s national sorting system, the drivers’ and postmen’s system, and the mail’s distribution centers throughout the country.

Karp comes with 20 years of managerial experience in the fields of supply chain, operations and customer service from El Al. In his last position, Karp served as the head of the operations and logistics department, and before that he managed the operations and in-flight service department in the company. Karp will replace Haim Mazaki, who announced his retirement from the position last August.

Karp’s appointment is part of the organizational and business change led by Post Office CEO David Laron since he took office in June. In recent months, as part of the moves to revive the postal service and towards the privatization of the company, Ron has appointed management members with diverse experience in the business market, including Keren Atzalan who was appointed to the position of CFO, Eitan Ohion who was appointed to the position of VP of Retail and Mail, Merav Spectorovski-Shashon who was appointed to the position of CEO Post Bank, Viron Cohen was appointed to the position of Director of Marketing, Digital and Business Development.

Laron added: “I want to thank Chaim Mezaki, the retiring VP of the supply chain division, for many years of magnificent work for the Israel Post and for leading the supply chain and the entire post office, from a company whose main business is distributing letters, to a leading company in Israel in the field of shipping and online trade.”

Karp has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Hertfordshire, England, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Derby.
