SYDNEY: Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has ridiculed Australian spinner Nathan Lyon during the second Test of the England-Australia Ashes series. Peterson described Lyon as an off-spinner with no difference. The former Englishman was mocked on Twitter.

‘Can someone please hit Lyon? Lyon’s off-spin bowling is no different. That, too, is the most flat wicket in the world, ” Peterson tweeted.

He took three wickets for England in the first innings. Lyon bowled 11 maidens in 28 overs and conceded just 58 runs.

In the first Test of the Ashes in Gabba, Lyon completed his Test career by 400 wickets, knocking out David Malan. The off-spinner also holds the record for most Test wickets for Australia. Lyon is ahead of Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath in this record.
