The war in Ukraine continues, and one of the burning issues in Israel is the absorption of refugees. Ayelet Shaked has adopted a strict policy and after the easier criticism in opening the gates. From the outbreak of the war from 24.2 to the present day, 9,188 civilians came from Ukraine, of whom 1,075 registered returnees from Ukraine and about 1,600 immigrants from Ukraine were registered. During this period, 915 Ukrainians left Israel.

The petition to the High Court states: “The new policy of the Ministry of the Interior violates agreements between Ukraine and Israel regarding exemption from visas for Ukrainian citizens. “In light of all the diplomatic possibilities, the embassy has no choice but to ask the Warsaw law firm to petition the High Court against the new outline in order to protect the rights of Ukrainian citizens,” the Ukrainian ambassador wrote.
