The General Manager of “Lovimax Tea Manufactory” Victor Girukwishaka announced that he took into consideration the advice of the Head of State to develop the tea value chain around the factory by groupings in cooperatives.

The Managing Director of “Lovimax Tea Manufactory” indicated that in addition to its tea processing project and the popularization of tea plantations, this company has already taken actions to promote the well-being of the surrounding population, in particular the electrification of the Mubarazi village and the supply of drinking water to the surrounding schools.

The CEO of “Lovimax Tea Manufactory” requested the support of the Government of Burundi especially by granting tea plantation land to the partner cooperatives and a transformer adapted to the electricity consumption of the processing industries.

Speaking, the Head of State hailed this entrepreneurial initiative whose socio-economic impact is based on an entire value chain. Indeed, it is a factory that brings foreign currencies into the country thanks to the export of the tea produced, which is the basis of job creation and which constitutes a sales market for local agricultural cooperatives.

Evariste Ndayishimiye took the opportunity to call on other Burundian leaders to follow in the footsteps of this member of the Upper House of the Burundian Parliament who has taken the lead in the development of the country in general and his native town in particular.

The Head of State also encouraged all Burundian investors who are embarking on the agro-food processing sector and reassured them that with the support of the government of Burundi, they will succeed insofar as all Burundians and foreigners are their clients.

The Burundian Head of State also reminded all the owners of land not yet exploited, that they must be exploited otherwise these lands will be given to cooperatives capable of developing them.
