Sao Paulo made official this Monday the renewal of the contract of Ecuadorian defender Robert Arboleda for three more seasons (until 2027). That is, Arboleda could complete 10 years wearing the colors of this historic Brazilian team.
Arboleda, 32, joined the São Paulo team in 2017, playing 264 official matches so far (18 goals). The experienced defender won the 2021 Paulista Championship, the 2023 Brazilian Cup and the 2024 Super Cup with this club.
Despite his constant acts of indiscipline (in Sao Paulo and the Ecuadorian national team), Arboleda is appreciated by the leadership and fans of Sao Paulo, since at a sporting level he has always responded with good performances.
After confirming its renewal, Arboleda noted the following: “I am grateful for all the years I have in Sao Paulo. For all the good things I experienced here. I just wanted to thank you and say that I will be here for a few more years. “God willing, I will complete 10 years in Sao Paulo.”
Lots of memories from 2017 to now. And the story continues until 2027!
