Officials of the Sabunchu District Office of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription under the Prosecutor General’s Office for Combating Corruption were caught red-handed while accepting bribes from citizens.
It is stated in the information of the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to information, reasonable suspicions have been established that Adil Huseynov, the deputy head of the institution – the head of the Mobilization Department, was extended for 3 years the period of unfitness for military service based on a fake medical opinion, and Togrul Iskenderov, the head of the Actual Military Service Recruitment Department of the Sabunchu District Office, received a bribe in exchange for not being involved in actual military service.
During the search of those officials and their service rooms, evidence important to the case was discovered and taken away.
In the criminal case, Adil Huseynov and Togrul Iskandarov were charged under Articles 311.3.2 and 311.3.3 (repeated and large-scale bribery) of the Criminal Code, and a pretrial detention measure was chosen based on the court decision.
At present, investigative and operational measures are being continued.
