All trains traveling to Badulla and Kandy have been suspended due to a strike by railway station principals.

Railway station principals have been on strike since yesterday, putting forward some demands. Up to 500 people had gathered there at the time and some Kandy police officers had intervened to control them.
Following this, the police have taken steps to take the people gathered at the railway station to their places by the Sri Lanka Transport Board and private buses.
