Shrek and Fiona in the English version will be voiced again by Mike Myers and actress Cameron Diaz, the donkey will be dubbed again by Eddie Murphy. The audience will hear them on the screen a quarter of a century after they appeared in the first part based on the storybook of the same name by William Steig. It is not clear whether Antonio Banderas, whose animated Puss in Boots received two separate films in 2011 and 2022, will also be involved in the novel.
