OHLA, through its American subsidiary Judlau Contracting, has been awarded three new contracts in Illinois (United States) for a value close to 145 million euros.
The first project, awarded by the Illinois Department of Transportation for nearly €53 million, includes the reconstruction of approximately 3.6 km of the Wood Street/Ashland corridor in the city of Harvey, south of Cook County. Located in a densely populated area of Chicago, it involves the reconstruction of the Wood Street roadway from 161st Street to Thornton Road.
For its part, the contract to improve the Addison Creek canal, awarded by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Chicago, for more than 72 million euros, will contribute to reducing flooding due to overflow along the river, in the communities of Bellwood, Northlake, Stone Park, Melrose Park, Westchester and Broadview.

The work, executed by a joint venture led by OHLA USA, includes the design and express construction of 25 km of two new lanes in each direction of the interstate highway between Costa Mesa and Los Angeles.
