Irshad Siddiqui, Fatehpur: On March 11, mutilated bodies of a youth and an innocent girl were found on the railway track in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The police arrived on the information of the villagers and took possession of both the bodies and sent them to the mortuary house. The brother who reached the mortuary house on March 13 identified the deceased as brother and niece. After this, the police filled the Panchnama of the dead bodies and sent them for postmortem. The brother of the deceased alleges that after a dispute with his wife, his brother took this suicidal step along with his one year old innocent daughter.
According to the information, 35-year-old Ramnath Mehra, resident of Sahajpura village of Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh province, used to work in a fertilizer factory in Malwa police station area. Wife Babita and one year old daughter Pallavi also lived together. It is being told that on March 6, Ramnath went to his village along with his wife and daughter and from there went to his in-laws’ house.
The wife had returned to her parents’ home on the way.
On March 8, he was coming back to Malwan by train with his family. During the journey, there was a dispute between the couple over some issue. Angered by this, the wife left her daughter on the way and went back to her parents’ house. The woman had filed a complaint in the police station against her husband accusing him of forcibly taking her daughter with her.
Brother identified the dead
On this, the family came to know about the matter from the police who reached Ramnath’s house. After this, Ghanshyam Mehra, elder brother of deceased Ramnath, arrived from Narsinghpur on Wednesday. Here it was discovered that a dead body was found on the railway track near Malwan railway station. On this, the brother reached the mortuary house and identified both the bodies as brother and niece. According to Ghanshyam, deceased Ramnath was married to Babita 3 years ago.
Police station in-charge Mukesh Singh said that both the bodies found on the railway track have been taken into custody and sent for postmortem. Other legal action is being taken in the matter.
